What is Quercetin?

What is quercetin? That's the big question these days in cutting edge supplements.

Quercetin is an antioxidant that can be found in certain fruits and vegetables, like apples, blueberries, and even onions (usually those with a reddish hue - but others as well). It plays a big role in getting rid of free radicals in your body.

A build up of free radicals in our bodies is what can leave us feeling tired and sluggish, even sick. Antioxidants help flush these nasty products from our bodies.

Quercetin has also been found to alleviate a host of other ailments including allergies, canker sores, asthma, even cancer (to read more on this go to: WHAT IS QUERCETIN).

But it has become especially popular because of it's energy producing benefits. In fact, one of the newer more healthier energy drinks on the market uses quercetin as it's main energy enhancer - FRS HEALTHY ENERGY DRINK (to read a review on FRS go to: FRS ENERGY DRINK REVIEW).

Quercetin can be a very effective antioxidant if taken properly. While you can get quercetin naturally by consuming the proper fruits and vegetables, it is most effective in larger, condensed dosages. You would need to take in approximately 40 apples a day to get the quercetin found in an FRS Energy Drink.

FRS Energy Drinks are endorsed by well known champion cyclist and cancer survivor, Lance Armstrong. And if it's good enough for him - well, it's good enough for me.

One can of this stuff was enough to convince me of it's energy producing benefits.

Are Energy Drinks Bad For You? The Truth About Energy Drinks

Wondering if energy drinks are bad for you? Well, if you are hooked on energy drinks, or are thinking about trying the latest "energy in a can" type drink - this is the most important question to be asking yourself...

Your typical popular energy beverage gets its energy from a mixture of caffeine, sugar (or sugar substitute) and some sort of energy enhancer (like taurine or ginseng, or whatever).

Usually these ingredients are okay in small doses taken individually and alone. The problems occur when people take these together - like in an energy drink, or worse, if more than one can is consumed.

This is usually when people begin to experience nervousness, anxiety, racing heartbeat, jittery or jerky movements, or shaky hands, etc.,

While this may not seem like enough of a reason to go the doctor, it does show that your body is having an unusually negative reaction to something you are putting in it!

Over time and repeated usuage, you are creating a negative environment in your body that could have serious consequences and that in itself is unhealthy.
